The Difference is in the Wire:
Regular cables are often Tone Limited
Typical guitar cables have carbon in the outer rubber jacket. This causes a uniform loss of High and Low frequency making the top-end sound limited or hacked off and the bass shallow and flattened out.
SabreCable Sounds Better
SabreCable is made with a patented design that has no carbon in the outer jacket. Thus, no signal degradation takes place due to the outer jacket. In direct comparison, SabreCable’s top end seems to open up - the bass sounds tighter, fuller and more round.
Regular cables are Noisy
As stated, most guitar cables are made with carbon in the outer jacket, with a braided shield, to attempt to combat the ever-present interference that plagues high impedance systems such as electric guitars. This is only marginally effective in controlling noise and again, greatly affects the sound quality.
SabreCable is Low Noise
SabreCable utilizes a patented spiral shield of oxygen free copper over a carbon impregnated PVC sheath underneath. This provides a firm 100% shield against noise of all types and is non micro-phonic.
The Difference is in the Connectors:
Regular cables often use Inferior Connectors
Typical cables are often made with connectors selected for their low cost and not for ultimate suitability for the task at hand. They use common crimping methods thus pinching the wire and causing potential for shorts. This method fails to attach the cable in a strain-relief manner (which also usually results in a short, given time).
SabreCable uses Premium Connectors
After extensive research, SabreCable selected Neutric Nickel and Gold plated connectors for it’s guitar cables. These components are of substantial mass, finely machined, and utilize a 360 degree gripping action to absolutely secure the cable at the connector without pinching the wire at all.
The Difference is in The Warranty:
Regular cables offer limited Warranties
Most guitar cables come with some kind of warranty. These may even be stated as lifetime. However, under normal musician use, most will fail (often several times a year).
SabreCable Offers an Unlimited “No-Fault” Lifetime Warranty
The real issue is not how many times a cable company is willing to replace a defective product. The issue is that the warranty should be a statement about how good the product really is – and that under normal conditions, there is little real chance that the cable will require return. SabreCable’s return rate has been so minute that the warranty has been extended to be a comprehensive “lifetime warranty”.
